How much do you charge?

$400 per hour. 1 hour minimum.

Final price will very greatly depending on the size, placement and details. I can give an estimate when presented with the general idea (no strings attached).

On average, small-size tattoos take less than an hour (which means you can potentially get 2+ small during that hour and it would cost the same).

Medium-Large could scale from 1,5 to 3 hours. Full sleeves and other big projects are harder to estimate but I usually divide them into 2 or more sessions.

Some designs and ideas are more complex or simpler in nature. I reserve the right to adjust my rate accordingly.

How do I book an appointment?

After we settled on a date and time you have to secure your appointment with a $200 deposit. This will be credited towards the final price of the tattoo and it’s a basic no-show policy common practice on the tattoo business.

Please note that deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you need to reschedule, we ask that you please do it at least 1 week prior to your appointment. If you reschedule your appointment with less than 7 days notice, you are forfeiting your deposit.

You are allowed to reschedule once. Any additional rescheduling will necessitate a new deposit and the forfeiture of the initial one.

What is the design process?

I don't provide in-person consultation besides your booked appointment. All consultations are done via email until the day of your tattoo.

That being said you are MORE than welcome to share any information and references about what you want, up until 1 week prior to your appointment.

Your design will be seen in person when you come in for your tattoo (sorry, no exceptions). I don't provide the design before your appointment date due to copyright protection. I always book enough room (usually around 10~20 minutes) for editing and discussing your design together before we get started.

I love creating or giving my own spin on ideas brought by my clients. I do reserve the right to reject projects based on my artistic direction.

How to prepare for my tattoo?

Don’t forget to bring a valid form of ID. Also we have a staff member that is allergic to perfume, so please don’t wear cologne or any strongly scented lotion.

Your body condition leading up to your tattoo session is very important. We recommend that you eat well before you come in, and remember to stay hydrated.

Please refrain from drinking alcohol 24 hours before your tattoo session. Alcohol can increase bleeding. That also dilutes out pigments, affecting both the appearance of your tattoo as well as your healing process.

Make sure you have had a good night’s rest so that your skin will accept the ink more easily. If you have hair on the area where you want your tattoo, please shave it prior to your session.

If you anticipate being late for your appointment, please let me know as soon as you can! If you do not let me know in a timely manner, the shop will consider this a no-show and your reservation will be automatically canceled.

What to expect?

I do my tattoos at Castro Tattoo shop, located in the heart of San Francisco. This is a place I simply LOVE and have so much respect for. We share the same values: acceptance, diversity and identity.

I have a private room within the shop, for your comfort and privacy. If you are a bit nervous or you need a pause at any moment, that’s normal and please don’t hesitate to ask. Also refreshments and treats are available (and FREE). Yum!

You are welcome to bring ONE friend or family with you. Sometimes people can be a distraction which is good for you, but not for the artist.

After your session is done I’ll ask that you stay for a bit longer so I can take pictures. This step is ESSENTIAL to my business model. It normally takes less than 30 minutes so I appreciate your patience.

Taking care of my new tattoo.

Aftercare instructions will be provided on the day of your tattoo. I like to be very clear, detailed and personal oriented cause a lot of factors influence the healing process.

Please disclose if you have any known allergies. Placement, skin type and health conditions all can amount a significant difference in how to approach your recovery.

That being said I advise you acquiring neutral soap and lotion ahead of time.
